CAPRI (IT), Dec 9, 2012 – The exceptional cast of My Week With Marilyn, directed by Simon Curtis, will accept top honors for a cast this New Year’s Day with the 2011 Capri Ensemble Award. Curtis will accept the award along with several members of the cast.

Michelle Williams’ striking portrayal as one of the world’s most idolized and mysterious icons provides a center stone for her fellow castmates as they allow us a look into one particular week of Marilyn Monroe’s life. Kenneth Branagh masterfully manifests Sir Laurence Olivier and his simultaneous frustration and enchantment with Monroe during the filming of The Prince and The Showgirl. Captivated by Monroe for reasons beyond what meets the public’s eye, Eddie Redmayne stars as Colin Clark, the third assistant director on The Prince and The Showgirl whose diaries in which the film is based. Though their week together certainly carries an undeniable charge, Clark and Monroe find themselves navigating more complex emotional terrain than that of a typical love affair. Dame Judi Dench, Emma Watson, Dominic Cooper, Dougray Scott, Julia Ormond, Toby Jones and Zoë Wanamaker round out the luminous cast.
